SOLEBO BAGS AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN CONSUMER PROTECTION ( SEE PHOTOS)

The General Manager, Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA), Afolabi Solebo Esq. has been awarded as an Honorary Chartered Fellow in Public Management & Outstanding and Inspirational Leadership Honor in West Africa, for his outstanding performance in the quest for ensuring that consumers are protected in Lagos State. Solebo received the award from the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP). According to the Institute’s Executive Director, Ghana, Dr. Richard Popo-Ajate, the award is in recognition of Solebo’s resounding public service leadership and resilience in service delivery. He added that the institute has recognized Solebo’s credible personality, describing him as a statesman and an icon who has made an indelible mark in consumer protection in Lagos State and Nigeria at large. In his words, Popo-Ajate said “The effort of LASCOPA under the leadership of Afolabi Solebo has in the real sense saved Lagosians from being unfairly treated and ensuring the elimination of purchase and consumption of hazardous and sub-standard products in the State”. Solebo while receiving the award noted that the agency’s achievement is a collaborative effort of the management and entire staff of the agency. He however dedicated the award to every member of LASCOPA for their support, loyalty and dedication towards ensuring that the vision and mission of the agency is fully achieved. see photos below

He expressed his gratitude to the institute for the award and assured of his continued commitment towards the course of protecting consumer rights in Lagos State, he also reiterated his commitment and loyalty towards the progress of the Institute as a Fellow.
