ALADEPEKUN’S CORONATION: CHIEF MRS JUMOKE RAZAK CONFERRED WITH CHIEFTAINCY TITLES ( AS IYA OBA OF ODO EGIRI KINGDOM) AND OTHERS

It was all merry making on Friday 3rd November, 2023 in Odo-Egiri kingdom as some eminent personalities in Epe division were conferred with chieftaincy titles by the HRM Oba Musiliu Oliwo the Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri kingdom in celebrating his 1st coronation anniversary. The event took place at the palace of Aladepekun and it witnessed by notable people in the state and nation at large. Those who were honoured included; the wife of the late Balogun of Epe land, Chief (Mrs) Jumoke Rasak (JUMMY 'K') as Iya Oba of Odo-Egiri kingdom, Chief Shola Omoye Saka as Aragun Pote of Odo-Egiri, Chief (Hon.) Abiodun Adebayo as Bobaselu and Chief Moruf Mukaila as Otunba Tayese Others were; Chief Quadri Alaba the Mayegun of Odo-Egiri while Chief Raheem Rasak was conferred with the title of Otun Mayegun and the titles of Iyalode and Iya Oloja were given to Chief (Mrs) Oluwatoyin Alaya and Alhaja (Chief) Kikelomo Ogunnaike The monarch, emphasised that the chieftaincy titles conferred on these personalities were because of their various developmental contributions to the Odo-Egiri kingdom and they deserved it. He urged the new chiefs to follow the traditions of the land for the betterment of sundry in the ancient town. While responding to questions from the newsmen; Chief (Mrs) Oluwatoyin Alaya expressed her appreciation to the kabiesi for the good gesture of Iyalode title given to. She pledged her support for the progress of the community and urged the women folk to be obedient to the husbands. Mrs. Olajumoke Rasak, the Yeye Oba of Odo-Egiri promised to do more for the good of the people in the town. She prayed for longevity of reign of the monarch and called for concerted efforts to assist him in the discharge of his traditional roles. The Olu-Omo of Odo-Egiri, Chief Sunday Edward also expressed his gratitude to the good people of Odo-Egiri and the kabiesi for his magnanimity to give him with a chieftaincy title. He prayed for success and healthy reign of the monarch. Apagun Saka Olaomoye, the Apagun Pote of Odo-Egiri shared his joy with the people of the town. He promised to be a good youth leader for the upcoming youths and an Ambassador of peace in the town. The Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Ismail Akinloye gave thanks to the Almighty Allaah for making the day a success. He thanked all the good people of the town who is supporting him in one way or the other with a view of taking the local council to a greater height. Chief Olayiwola Adeniyi who is a friend of the Mayegun of Odo-Egiri expressed his appreciation for the chieftaincy title bestowed upon his friend. He believed that he could be of benefit to the town and its environs. HRM Oba Adesina Sulayman Adebowale, the Omola of Odomola Kingdom gave kudos to the monarch who has been on his toes seeing Odo-Egiri grow tremendously. He called on the people of the town to support the kabiesi for mutual understanding and developmental activities. He urged the people to continually support any good leader and traditional ruler who has the interest of his people at heart. The Seriki Odibo of Epe Kingdom, High Chief Munirudeen called for mutual assistance and support of the new king. He expressed his concern with the immense success recorded by the people of Epe Division with the new waves of rulership in the division. He prayed for peace, tranquility and understanding in the land of Odo-Egiri. See pictures below
