COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF OUR GET TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF 2003 SET OF THE AFRICAN CHURCH MODEL COLLEGE IFAKO IJAIYE HELD ON 23RD DECEMBER 2023 AT BAMBOO LOUNGEE ODUDUWA CRESCENT GRA IKEJA LAGOS.

 

We started by singing the School Anthem and when forward to the opening speech by the President Rt Hon Comrade Fagbodun Oluwadamilare O

We appreciate the effort of JUDE and CHINUA to have put this together.

In Attendance we had 30 members of the association members present and it was fun filled from start to finish. 

It’s been 20 years since we graduated from high school.  Two decades not a small thing, 2003 – 2023 years filled with events, histories and testimonies from individuals and the Association.

Top of our discussion at the meeting point were:

1, Urgent attention of the association is needed based on gas explosion that occurred in the house of one of our colleagues, the Wife was so much affected and they need our financial support plus every other support we could render in any way. 

There and then it was suggested we start donation

Fortunately JUDE who played the organizing role of the event said We still have some money, we can give from funds raised for the outing and secondly that we should not wait for donation because this needs urgent attention.

2, Late Mariam fund to be given to the family of the deceased by the Association with the THEME `` Our token support for the Education and future of the Daughter of our LATE colleague MARIAM SONAIKE. 

With this token and peradventure we pray  to do more by GOD GRACE.

3, The whole house complained about the nonchalant act of the Present Executives, President and Executives led by my able self Rt Hon Comrade Fagbodun   Oluwadamilare 

4, Token of five thousand Naira (#5,000) was a form of compensation for punctuality, the first Male and the First Female that got to the venue received this as a form of compensation and many more fund were won during the gaming session.

5, The issue of our set renovating the basketball court of the School was another issue strongly deliberated on and it was shifted unto the next Administration.

We had refreshment, fun and memories.

This communique would not be complete if we fail to appreciate and acknowledge the effort of 2 of our ACMC colleagues in diaspora they are TOLULEKE AGAGU and OLUREMI BELLO.
