FC Barcelona and Nike could part ways for the main jersey sponsorship after almost 25 Years in relationship.

There are tensions between Barcelona and Nike, who have been in a relationship since 1998.

The last contract was signed in 2016 and since then Nike have been paying Barça €155m per season but after conversations with various firms Barça believe that the figure is below the market price. Barça would like to negotiate some terms but Nike feels defended by the contract signed 7 years ago. The contract ends in 2028.

Puma & New Balance have been in contact with Barça and are offering more lucrative deals, if the club can break the contract with Nike. Barça as of now assume that they cannot break the contract with Nike but are in talks with them to achieve a greater degree of satisfaction.

Apart from the economic aspect, Barça are also not happy with some of the services provided by Nike like quality, designs and services to players but Nike says it is actually Barça who are sometimes late in making decisions or with some deadlines. Tensions are bidirectional.
