Lagos Community Youth Development Initiative Epe Constituency honour Epe Dpo CSP Okoruwa Godwin for outstanding performance

 

for the recognition of his Outstanding Contribution to the Youth Capacity Development in Epe Lagos State

In recognition of his performance in curbing crimes in Epe Local Government Council Area, Lagos Community Youth Development Initiative Epe Constituency  have given an award of Excellence  to the Dpo of Epe  Police Station, Csp Okoruwa Godwin.

While presenting the award to the Dpo at his office, the  coordinator, of the organization Otunba Bode Ogunniyi and Comrade Adewale S. Ayotunde-Seriki said the organization has  decided to honour the Dpo with the award to intensify his  efforts toward taming crimes in Epe

Otunba Bode Ogunniyi recalled the role played by the Csp  and his team in displacing miscreants from their hideouts; particularly, how he chased away the armed robbers terrorising in Epe

He said  his  timely intervention brought peace back into the community. He also said the future of the community is the statusco of the Youth's 

Responding to the award, the Dpo said it was a dream come true for him and his team.

Csp Okoruwa Godwin said the award is for all the police officers of Epe police station as it was earned through team efforts.

he therefore appreciated the organization and the people of Epe  for their support and the recognition given to the Nigeria Police in Epe.

He  said: “This is a dream come true for me because this award is the biggest honour to all police officers in the community,  because this is a team effort which I cannot achieve alone but with the help of my fellow police men, we have been able to safeguard the community.

 It is common knowledge that the statement; “Police is your friend” has never been rated as statement of fact in Nigeria, and despite genuine effort by some men of the Nigeria Police Force to better the society, these men are rarely commended for good deeds. 

“On behalf of all the police men in Epe, I want to say a big thank you to the good people of Epe for this award. In fact, people of Epe have proved a point that community policing is the way to go with their endless support to the police in Epe local government because the police cannot do it alone.”

He therefore promised that the police would improve on their activities and make sure the community is safer for everybody to live, he also advice that the youth should be involved in academy , Youth should not engaged in Cultist, drug  abuse, Arm Robbery and Yahoo Yahoo etc.
