The Director General, National Broadcasting Commission, Mr. Charles Ebuebu received the leadership of the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria(BON) led by its chairman, Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos (DG NTA) on a courtesy visit to the Commission's headquarters in Abuja.
The purpose of the visit was to engage in constructive discussions surrounding pertinent issues affecting the broadcast industry in Nigeria, with a major focus on the Digital Switch Over project, actively involving stakeholders in the industry to collaboratively explore viable solutions for continuous improvement.
Welcoming the chairman, Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, the Director General, Mr Charles Ebuebu noted that, he was delighted to have the national working committee of BON and other members. Noting also that, he had the privilege of meeting one-on-one with principal officers within BON to discuss salient issues affecting the industry. While emphasizing that the commission will continue to work with stakeholders in the industry, the DG, added, that he looked forward to having a mutually beneficial working relationship.
The courtesy visit marked a significant step towards fostering collaboration and addressing critical issues in Nigeria's broadcast industry. The proposed solutions are therefore aimed at creating a framework for continuous improvement, ensuring that the industry remains resilient and adapts effectively to the dynamic media landscape. Both parties expressed commitment to ongoing dialogue and collaboration for the betterment of the broadcast sector in Nigeria.
