Ibeji-Lekki Local Government today reawakened the spirit of the Children's Day Celebrations in the Local Government through unforgettable activities even by adults to serenade as well as commemorate the existence and rights of the young ones which the special day,May 27th is synonymous with.
The event which started with cultural displays from the young ones showcasing their inhibited talents later captured the children marching to the precise rhythm of the Nigerian Army Band saluting the Executive Chairman,Hon.(Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa.
In his keynote address,the Council Mayor serenaded the Children and reiterated the commitment of his Administration to Education and children related activities through more laudable programmes.
He also restated the need for parents to protect the rights of every child and giving them opportunities to thrive.
The children were also humoured by March Past from Royal Fathers,Supervisors,Women Groups and other notable personalities at the occasion to show how valuable and cherished they adore our future leaders.
It was indeed an unforgettable and enjoyable occassion that will forever resonate in the memories of all the children and others present as winners of the Cultural Performances and March Pasts were handsomely rewarded with notable gifts.
The Council Mayor Abdullahi Sesan Olowa was applauded by Leaders and all present for his visionary leadership of thinking outside the box to reposition Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.
