“This distribution of the food items which he is in stages every year is made possible with donations monies and food items by the well-to-do indigenes of Epe division”, he declared.

“CNI is standing tall at all times to ensure it speaks for the voiceless where necessary and also the NGO is concerned about the well being of the people”.

“We are leaving no stone unturned to see that all residents of Epe and its environs get better lives and creditable living conditions”.

He said that;

“Epe has lost its name as the ‘food basket of the state’ because there is no farm land in the suburbs. Everywhere has been taken over by the trending housing estates”.

“This is not helping the peasant farmers and local fishermen and women”

"The government must come to the aid of the local farmers so that arable lands won’t just be further used for other purposes”

In his own comment, the president LASCOFED, Otunba Oriyomi Ayeola  urged other individual groups to join hands in the effort of alleviating the high rate of scarcity of food as to eradicate the problem

Ayeola appealed to parents to ensure that their children are educated by all means in other to function appropriately in the society

He however urged the youths not allow the politicians to use them as political thugs

"They (politicians) have their own children and siblings they can not use them for election rascality and why should you allow them to use you?

While fielding questions from the newsmen, Dr. Sulaimon Adigun Muse requested that;

“The government must come up with policies to see that food is on the tables of all in the country”

“We have enough lands and resources in this country. Most particularly in the northern part of the country”
