The legislator representing Epe Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Rep. Wale Raji today paid a courtesy visit to the newly installed Abowa of Agbowa, HRM Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson who was installed on Saturday 11th November 2023.
Rep. Wale Raji said official engagements impeded his plans to attend his installation hence today's visit to the monarch. He rejoiced with the monarch and the good people of Agbowa for the feat. He said his relationship with the monarch spans decade just as his love for Agbowa and its people knows no bound which is reflective in the volume and quality of projects he has facilitated to Agbowa in recent times.
Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson commended Rep. Wale Raji for his support which he said predates his emergence as king. He also appreciated the legislator for the volume and quality of projects he has facilitated to different parts of Epe and particularly, Agbowa ranging from Recreational centre, Vocational centre, Schools, Markets, roads, health centre etc.
In a surprise pronouncement, Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson conferred the first honourary title under his reign on Rep. Wale Raji as "Otunba Bobaselu of Agbowa" in appreciation of his quality representation and leadership that he said has brought unprecedented development to different parts of Epe Federal Constituency.
Hon Dehinsilu Wasiu who spoke on behalf of the community appreciated the legislator for standing out as a legislator in the service of the people. He tendered some pressing community needs to the legislator ranging from employment opportunities, roads, markets, schools and healthcare facilities.
In his response, Rep. Wale Raji thanked the monarch for the honour and pledged to live up to the responsibility of the title. He said apart from the ongoing Recreational facility, Vocational centre, schools and other developmental projects he has facilitated to Agbowa axis, provision has been made for more Markets, Schools, Roads and other impactful projects. He requested for the credentials of five (5) unemployed youths who will be gainfully employed in the next few months.
